To determine the legitimacy of the airdrop, check if the project has an official or active social media account with a proper white paper for clarity. Check them on trustworthy crypto news sites or listing platforms. If they are legit, those reputable platforms should cover it. Also, a legit airdrop will only ask for information like wallet address or email. If it asks for personal information or payment, it's most probably a scam.

The legit ones are strictly transparent and require nothing other than a wallet address, I agree with that.
