Honeygain has been around for a while now and I've been testing it to confirm it's authenticity for some months. Honeygain is an app that claims to pay you for sharing your unused internet bandwidth. After 2 months of use, here's my honest review.

Is it a legit passive income source or just a waste of time?

What is Honeygain?

Honeygain is an app that pays you for doing absolutely nothing. It pays you for sharing you unused bandwidth.
 
How it works: The app runs in the background, selling your unused internet data to businesses for tasks like SEO monitoring or ad verification. 
- Cost: it is free to join and it doesn't require any skills 
- Payout: The withdrawal threshold is $20 and payments are made via PayPal.


My Experience
Pros ✅
- It's a passive income: I earned  $25 in 6 weeks with 3 devices, using my phone and  laptop.
- Easy setup: It's so easy to set up. The installation on Android and Windows runs automatically . 
- Referral bonus: You will get $5 if someone signs up with your referral link.

Cons ❌ 
- Slow earnings: The earnings is way too slow as I made around $0.40/day without referrals . 
- High payout threshold: Despite the low earning rate, the payout threshold is too high with a $20 minimum. This takes months for many users . 
- Privacy concerns: I'm very uncertain how my data is used, though they claim encryption.

  - Yes, but avoid using it on sensitive devices. It uses SSL encryption and doesn't access personal files . 

2. How much can you earn? 
  - Average: $20–$50/month but it depends on your location, devices, and internet speed.. 
  - Tip: To earn more use unlimited Wi-Fi and connect up to 10 devices on different networks . 

3. Does it drain data?
  - It uses 10–15 GB/month per device. So, you should avoid it if you have limited data plans .
