Title: What type of microphone do vloggers use?
Post by: Administrator on Aug 12, 2025, 01:40 PM
Depending on their setup, many vloggers use a shotgun microphone or a lavaliers(clip-on) microphone or a USB condenser microphone. Shotgun microphones provide a directed sounds in front of the camera whereas lavaliers are fantastic for hands-free. Creators who do voice over usually uses USB condenser mics. The decision would greatly depend on the style you want to adopt for recording the vlog.

Most likely, shotgun mics would be the most common. Because of its suction functions, you can hear a lot better even for an outdoor shot. Though I see them using wind shields by with shotgun to remove unwanted noises. It  actually depends upon the environment where you are making the video.

A decent and affordable beginner's lavalier mic is really good enough and produces surprisingly decent results too.
